Drama

Today in drama we are trying to do a play there are 3 of us in the group in the group there is Kaedun, Alex, and I. For our plays we have to relate it to teenagers problems our situations, my groups doing it based around how kids are distracted by their devices. So in our play, Alex is sitting down on his phone and I run it and tell him that the house is on fire so when I tell him he is to distract on his phone to listen so I run out and ring the fire department that's when Kaedun comes in while music is playing in the background. Kaedun in the play is a fireman and he rescues Alex at the end they end it off with a smile with thumbs up and winking.

Themes & Ideas - continuous idea/subject that links throughout the text.

Looks can be deceiving - don't judge a book by its cover, don't judge by appearance. 

Examples of it in the film - when she meets Wybie because when first meet him he looked scary when we got to meet him he is a nerd, shy kid, and a geek he seemed scary the first time we met him because he was above Coraline so it makes him look bigger and loud music and lighting at the back 

Shows theme being because like other characters, our first impressions based on appearance, tone, visual, techniques aren't always correct. 

Important because it helps out the audience understand with Coraline that just because something looks good doesn't mean it is- she should choose the real world over the other world.

Example 2 - Character of Other mother - she seems normal/friendly at the start but by the end becomes a soul-devouring spider demon.

Shows theme because Other mother isn't what she appears to be at the start so we shouldn't judge by first impressions.

Important because Coraline realizes that having something that looks perfect isn't always a good thing.

Statement - In Coraline, the theme' looks can be deceiving' is used effectively to engage the audience.

Evidence - For instance, the character of the ' Other mother' shows us that looks can be deceiving because she starts off as a kind mother figure but gradually changes into a soul-devouring.

Explanation -  This makes us understand that we shouldn't judge a character based on first impressions as they can often be wrong.

eXplanation - This is done to help Coraline decide between the real world and the other world if the 'Other mother' was really perfect Coraline wouldn't choose to go home.

eXplanation - Combined with this is the use of colour and lighting. the 'Other mother' first appears in a vibrantly bright room that makes us feel warm and safe, however, by the end it has become dark and green which makes the viewer feel scared and show that her first look was deceiving.

Drama

For 2 periods of drama, we have been learning how to make little play using some tik tok in groups we didn't have to use the whole dance we could just use one move. At first, my group didn't know what to do but later on, we find out what to do, for our play I played as a bull, and I had to chase someone because they had walked into the wrong Penn. While I was chasing her there were two people outside of the Penn looking inside and laughing at the girl that was getting chased by the bull but later on I got shot of stage so that's the whole play. The way we used tik tok moves in this play was the two people outside do tik tok dances while laughing and before the girl walked into the Penn she cleaned her shoes it's a tik tok dance.

Music - 

Creepy Tone, slow, minor ton - warning that something bad is going to happen. The music is like a type of lullaby it was very childlike, at the beginning of the music it is creepy but later on it is less creepy and just weird. The lyric in the song is a made-up language - made to make it more interesting, creep, can’t understand it. 

Once arrived at the pink palace the music was - Gentle, dramatic, enchanting, happier/sweet, bit more major tone, slow timbre. Change - chasing music, more dramatic, high tension, minor tone, sad, chanting/warning, danger, and innocence.

Speed Stacking

For the past week in P.E, we have been learning how to do speed stacking first we had to learn the 3 by 3 by 3 at first it was hard. But later on, it got easier than after I learnt how to do speed stacking I had to learn how to do 3 by 6 by 3 it was easy but then putting the stacking the 6 cups up were had to put the cups down were very hard for me.

PHILIPPINES INDEPENDENCE DAY

Magandang Umaga, this week we are learning about the Philippines independence day. In 1946 July 4 that was the date when the Philippine got their independence day. It was established with the U.S approval and Manuel Quezon was elected the first president of the Philippine then in 1946 July 4 is when full independence was granted for the republic of the Philippine by the United States. Independence day happens every June 12 every year, they do it on this date because on that date was when the Philippines was declaring the Philippines independence day and they call it Araw ng kasarinlán also known as the day of freedom.  On the day the foods they eat are Adobo, Beef Tapa, Lechon, Sisig, and Kare-Kare.
