My song

In hurumanu we are doing music and so we had to make our song about something it was not easy to do it you have try and come up with lyrics and that is not an easy thing to do it took me a few days to make it and even though it took a while it's still bad just want tell you guys this my first time making a song so don't judge.

My name is Ruby I shine like a star
I nearly went to heaven but God said it wasn't my time
so he sent me down to spit this rhyme.

 with inner demons it wasn't easy

I'm walking around with all this grief
On my shoulder can't hold it no more
I'm about to blow somebody help before I go

Our first activity is called kick long ball it was class vs class the classes were ts vs mt, the teacher gave us a paper that we had to rate ourselves on how we did in the game I rated myself a 3. Because I encourage people to do there best even if they fail. To achieve at the level we have to be a leader consistently be a good leader and you have respect your team and you have to make sure everyone in your team trust you and respect you. At the end we played a game called bench ball the reason we played those games was because we had to learn how to work as a team the way we sorted out our teams for bench ball is we did tallest to shortest.


The way you play the game kick long ball is there is two teams and there is one fielding team and one kicking team there job is to kick the ball and run to the end of the other side and back. The fielding teams job is to get the ball and throw it at the running person but can't move with the ball or it won't count if you are fielding and you catch the ball on a full they go to a safe zone.

Maths

We had to do problem solving so the questions were there this many how many can you feed it was difficult but as a team work it out together. My group started of using divided the question but it didn't work so we used times and subtracting to solve the problems. It was hard because everyone in the group had a idea but they all had different answers so we worked together to make one answer. I would say my group did amazing even we got it wrong we all worked as a team every worked together for the answers. We did not get the answer correct but we were one of even if we didn't get it  we know what to do next time.

Charles Reserve

In 1920 Charles reserve got drained and used as a pasture, Charles reserve was also where some of the native and migratory birds and there were was also marine life in the area. The reason the place is called Charlesworth reserve is that it was the name after this guy called captain William Charlesworth. If you're wondering what he did to have his name as a place so what he did is he had a farm and he brought it into this place and his farm became Charlesworth reserve. Next week we are going to the Charlesworth reserve to help by planting some native trees so some native animals could come back plus trees. Take in combine dioxide and spit out oxygen for us to breath. but already there has been over 100,000 trees have been planted in the area but there is one spot that we are going to do some planting to help NZ Charlesworth is at Woolston, Christchurch 8023.

Maths DLO (Subtracting using column method)

In maths, we have been learning how to subtract using the column method at first it was confusing but after you do it for a while it gets easier each time you use it here is my DLO about what strategy we have been doing enjoy.
