Tech (digital)

Tech-light bar

For the past weeks, we have been making a light bar that we put our plastic color things on that would make it look nice. Like we would add designs to the plastic color thing then we would, put in the light bar then it would make it look amazing like wow.

Tane mahuta

Today for C.I.P  we did the same stuff as the last few weeks but we were planting different things carrots, watermelon, and corn. Because the other times we just planted potatoes so once they grow they I'm gonna eat all of the watermelons because watermelons are yum and juicy. We also pulled evy out of the ground and well people were pulling the evy out they also found a bench in the evy like deep in, so we had to pull it out of the evy we didn't get it out but next time will.

Fantasy

I would rate myself an R4 because there are few details in here, this is a sentence from my writing I did the picture was a dragon and a fire knight here's the picture. The sentence also has specific information about the picture like the firey sword and other things.

The fearless Knight held it vs long firey sword and his armor was on fire also. He jumped towards the dragon looking like he was flying once he got to the dragon he sliced its head.

Drama

A person I admire is Jonah Lomu because he plays rugby and I play too this my personal opinion of him. He is the best rugby player ever and he became the youngest ever all black when he played his first international in 1994 he was 19 years old. He played winger for all blacks because he was fast and he was big too so when someone tried to tackle him he would just run at that them and hit them over. So when I'm older I want to play like or even better but sadly his career ended on 2015 18 of November because he died of cardiac arrest. Jonah Lomu also got inducted into international rugby hall of fame on 9 of October 2007 he also scored 15 tries in two tournaments.Image result for jonah lomu  Related image
This is him doing what he's best at, Jonah is also pacific Jonah played in a lot of teams Auckland Blues, Chiefs, Hurricanes, and more. He had a kidney transplant in 2004 he then attempted a comeback but did not play internationally again. He then retired professional rugby in 2007 than died unexpectedly on 18 of November 2015.

Tane mahuta

Hi guys today in C.I.P we did the same thing as last week but if you don't know what happened here is what we did. We got our garden equipment I started digging in a line so we could place the potatoes in there but first, we had to make the dirt or soil soft so we had to put the dirt in the dirt and then lift up the dirt and turn it over. After we made the dirt soft we dug it out to make like a trench so we could place the potatoes in there once we placed the potatoes in the dirt we had to put dirt on top of it so it would grow over time.

Climate change in the future

What places will be affected?
People close to the coast, people near beaches.

What else do we need to think about?
New areas for people to live because the houses will get destroyed. Using public transport, get an electric car don't drive when you are the only using the car.

What other places around NZ will be affected?
Pacific Island People near the coast and beaches

What does this do to our drinking water?
The people on the coast will have more saltwater.
What are the main concerns?
The floods.

What can we do?
  1.  Use public transport.
  2.  Electric car.
  3.  Solar panels.

What is the one, silver bullet solution?
Nothing cause no scientist is going to figure out a way to get rid of climate change.

What is the mix of things we need to start doing?
  1.   Solar heating.
  2.   Renewable energy.
  3.   Get rid of fossil fuel
What are 3 others you can think of?
  1.   Walking.
  2.    Biking.
  3.    Reuse and recycle.

Kids feeling

Kids feel the same way adults do if you think oh look at them their so happy in their unicorn world but actually they could be feeling sad they could  be depressed because something happened to them at school and they didn't tell their mum because their scared to tell their parents because they might get told it was your fault why can't you stand up for yourself  it's all your fault. That's probably why kids don't tell their parent's what's happening like they could back from school and be like school was great when that didn't even happen what actually happened was that they got bullied just understand kids can feel like how adult's feel too.

Emotional

Feelings are what you feel when something happens to you can feel a lot of things like you can feel sad, happy, angry, depressed, mad, and more. Today I have been feeling happy, chill, and excited, but there was this thing that happened when two kids had a fight but I won't say their name because they don't want me to say but this is what happened. So these two kids had a small fight there both my friends but I had to choose one of them because they hate each other now so I choose person who I thought was good and I did. So I think the friend I choose felt angry because he looked mad and he wanted to fight him but luckily some people there to stop it then both of them took a walk so from now on they are no longer friends.

Mr.Bean

Mr. Bean was hungry at the start when he saw the guy sitting at the bench so he made his own sandwich but the way he made it was yuck. Because he used his sock and other things to make the sandwich when he about bite into the sandwich he sneezed all over his food so the guy gave him his last sandwich because he felt sorry for him because he was hungry.

The scene when he cheated to get to the front of the line he felt happy because he got to get to the front of the line easily plus the store was about to open so he was happy. After he put the stuff in his car he couldn't drive because it was packed so he came up with a smart plan to drive the car from the top of the car but it failed a few minutes later after driving because the stick he was using to push the padel down broke so he felt scared cause he might crash. He did but lucky for him he went into a pillow truck.

Solar-Powered Oven

Aim: To make a solar-powered oven.

Materials:

  1.   Pizza box.
  2.   Scissors.
  3.   Tape.
  4.   Ruler.
  5.   Tinfoil
  6.   Gladerap.
  7.   Sticks.
  8.   Black plastic.
  9.   Vivid.
  10.   Newspaper.

  3. Cut off some plastic wrap as wide as the rectangle you cut out in the pizza box.
  4. Put the plastic wrap against the pizza box lid where you cut out and tape it down and make sure it's nice and tight.
  5. Then Put tinfoil around that flappy part of the box.
  6.  Put black plastic in the box where the pizza goes and on the sides too.
  7. Now put food in there and put it somewhere in the sun then use the stick to hold up the flappy part.

Conclusion:
The reason we couldn't do the experiment was that there wasn't much sun on the day we did it because it was raining because the main thing you need is the sun to heat up.

                      C.I.P(Tane Mahuta)

Today in C.I.P the tane mahuta group want into the garden and picked out the weeds around the plants. It took long because there was a lot because over the holiday it grew so there was a lot but after a while, there was a lot of the weed gone because everyone was picking them out. In kiwi Kaha we played this game called spaceship it is when you got to find out the pattern to what the first person said, the second game we had to turn an object into something different from what it is.

Changes and challenges

Hi guys,

So this week we have been learning about puberty and it's most likely to go through puberty at the age of 8 and it ends at the age of 14 or 16. When boys go through puberty they start growing more hair in places like under the arm, around the rectum, and on the chest. When you are going through puberty your mood starts to play up like getting angry and sad and more, also as you get older your voice starts to get deeper. If you start to go through puberty it's ok because everyone has been through puberty once in their life.

Girls go through puberty a bit early than boys, as girls get older their hip gets bigger the reason it gets bigger is that. When they have a baby in their stomach they can carry it if you are a girl you are going to have this thing called period. For people who don't know what that is it is a thing that only girls have it, it is when blood comes out of the uterus.

Poem

I am the son of Sione and the brother of Sione, Jack, and Manase
I have a cat Drago and my goldfish Lynx
The things I fear the most are spiders and other creepy crawlers
My achievements are finishing my work no matter what
I want to be in a shark cage and feed the shark
I was born in Auckland
I live in Christchurch

Wind

Measuring weather.

Definitions:

  1.  Anemometer:
  2. Beaufort wind scale:

Anemometer

MATERIALs

  1. Plastic lid x4.
  2. Tape.
  3. Scheuer.
  4. Pencil.
  5. Pin.

STEPS

  1.  Tape to plastic lids onto a Scheuer.
  2.   Do the same as number 1.
  3.   Tape the Scheuer's together like a cross.
  4.   Put a pin through the middle of the tape in the middle.
  5.   Stick the pin through the pencil eraser.
Groups size: 5
Roles:
  • Timekeeper
  • Counter
  • Recorder
  • Anemometer Manager
  • Wind Manager
  1. Mount the anemometer in a place that has full access to the wind from all directions.
  2. When the timekeeper says "Go", the counter in each group will count how many times the marked cup passes them in one minute and write it down.
  3. Repeat the above step four (4) times and record the number of spins on the chart.

FINDINGS

  • Record how many times it spins and record it in the table below.
  • You will need to time them and count the number of spins.

Place name on school grounds                                    Number of Spins in 15 seconds
1.Field0.5
2.Old J block site1
3.Grass hill quad1
4.Tennis Court gate0

CONCLUSION:

The tennis court gate had 0 spins, the field had 0.5 spins and the old j block site and grass hill quad had the same amount of spins 1 I didn't think any of these places were gonna get any spins because it wasn't as windy outside. When we got to those places we had to time 15sec then once we get to 0sec we move on to the next location, we asked what other people got they said they got 0 spins for most of their's so not everyone had the same amount of spins.

In the holidays I have been watching youtube, some of the YouTubers I have been watching are the Sdmn, KSI, miniminter, and moreSdmn, they are very funny. The videos they make are hide and seek and they do it in a very very big area and as they look for people they make jokes and they are just funny all around that is what I like about these YouTubers.

KSI is going to have a fight with this other YouTuber called logan paul, he use to be good but there was one video he shouldn't have posted I would talk about it but it is too sad. So KSI vs Logan paul they have already had one match but it ended up being a tie, so that was boring but there next fight is about to happen and I hope that KSI beats Logan paul so badly. Because Logan just annoys me so I hope that he loses, for people who don't know what KSI stands for it stands for Knowledge, Strength, and Integrity that's pretty cool. what does Logan paul stand for nothing, nothing at all?

Sdmn is a group of 7 YouTubers, Sdmn is just short for sidemen cause that's their group name but they spell it like that for short. They are all funny they sometimes make music against each other not all of them but they have all made a diss track to someone. Their music is alright but KSI and miniminters ones are the best KSI music are good like actual rap but miniminters music is funny. So I watch that just to get a good laugh if you are wondering how the Sdmn came together well. They all knew each other when they were younger so when they got into their teenage years they started making videos then they made a group Sdmn. MoreSdmn is just there second channel where they make other videos so I watch both channels to see what they made and see if it's funny and which it always is.

Twenty-five words

So this my poem that I made out of the 25 words.

Light white ice fall
blue snow water
runs fast past
feather puddles mountain
crusty burn
stars float fly
sunshine river
black bright sky
beautiful.

So this was poem hope you liked it.

Nature

  1. Playing outdoor.
  2. Take runs.
  3. Water the plants.
  4. Study outdoor.
  5. Plant trees.
I like to go outside and play a few sports with my bothers the sports we play are touch, soccer and sometimes we go outside to a ball up into the sky and watch it drop. The only time were inside is when it is raining, too hot and when we need a break.

Image result for beach

The reason I chose this place was that when I and my family are together we go to the beach as a family and it is so much fun chilling with your family, and to have a bbq.

So god made two people and their names were Adam and Eve so god had this apple it was the apple of knowledge so they ate it and then they had interaction and made the world.

My Investigation on Climate Change

My Investigation on climate change

    ACIDIFICATION

    DEFINITION:

It could mean the action or process of making or becoming acidic, the acidification of the arctic seas threatens organisms. Organisms are when molecules have an assembly so it can be anything living like planets, animals and anything capable of growth and devolvement.

What is happening to the oceans?
    • They are sucking up carbine dioxide and it is not good for the ocean.
    • Some things in the ocean can't survive in the sea.

What does this do to shellfish?
    •  Since carbine dioxide is going straight into the oceans shellfish can't handle it and die or can't fully grow, and when carbine dioxide goes into the ocean that makes the ph level high so they stop growing.

HOW DOES CLIMATE CHANGE CONTRIBUTE TO THE ACIDIFICATION OF OUR OCEANS?

Because the water cycle is a part of climate change so when the sun shines on the acidification something happens and acid gets released into the air danger.

    DEFORESTATION

    DEFINITION:

It is when people cut down trees and don't replant.

    What are trees used for?
    They are used for furniture.

HOW DOES DEFORESTATION AFFECT THE CLIMATE?

It is a part of the water cycle and that is a part of climate change because trees have taken water in and it vibrates and that's good when there are no trees the water will just sit there.

    ICECAP MELT

    DEFINITION:

    Icecap melting.

If all the ice melted what would happen
    Sea-level rise no saltwater.

HOW DOES ICECAP MELT AFFECT CLIMATE CHANGE?

People would have to leave their homes to move because of the sea level.

    WATER VAPOUR

    DEFINITION: WHEN WATER IS EVAPORATING.

WATER VAPOUR: HOW DOES  WATER VAPOUR AND EVAPORATION CONTRIBUTE TO CLIMATE CHANGE?

The surface temperature increases in the heat so do atmospheric humidity and then dumping greenhouse gas into the atmosphere and water vapor itself is a greenhouse gas.

    Science

    What is a carbon footprint?

    What is your Carbon Footprint?

You are now going to look at your own carbon footprint by taking a questionnaire. Remember to 'Add details to improve accuracy'.

Based on the questionnaire, what is your:

    1. Ecological Footprint
    2. Carbon Footprint

How many planets did you have?
    4.2

What is your personal Earth overshoot day?
    28 March

    ENERGY SAVING TIPS FILM

    Name 2 of the tips.

    1.   Take off all plugs when gone somewhere.
    2.   Use public transport.

    Video questions:

What has human activity done to our planet?
We are making co2 every day because we are traveling and we are burning too much fossil fuel to make or fossil fuel. everything we have basically has carbon dioxide in it.
    What is Zero Waste?
Definition: Using the less amount of trash as you can.

What stuff has a carbon footprint?
Clothing, Toothbrush, cellphone almost everything we have has a carbon footprintWhat are 2 easy things to help our planet?
    1.   Reuse
    2. Repair
What do we need to recycle?

    1. Clothing
    2. Devices
What does recycling do to our planet?
It helps take co2 go down plus we don't create that much co2 because we are repairing items and recycling them.

How much of our rubbish is made up of food scraps?

What does methane gas do to our planet?
It is very bad because it twice as bad as carbon dioxide so that means bad for our earth

What does soil do to carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?

What do using zero waste practices do to our planet?
It helps get rid of rubbish around the world and if they do it will take a lot of co2 away because rubbish holds co2.

    New buildings

Hello, people this week we have recently moved into our new buildings every class has a new one there are three big buildings each building has its own name. The names are Mohua, Riroriro, and Tieke the building we're in is called Tieke when I walked into our new buildings I saw a lot of rooms. They also had a lot of space so I like that because the old classrooms were small even the break out space is big. I saw new things like TVs that had lights on the back of it and there is a new sitting place where we can sit when teachers are saying the roll.

When I walked into our new buildings I thought wow it looks so amazing and like I said before big it's doesn't have many doors so other people can hear so that means we have to be very quiet. Because we don't want to disturb the students learning, I thought it would be a challenge to have two classrooms together but it's not that bad you just carry on with your work and everything is normal.

When I walked into our new buildings I felt nervous at first but as the day went on I started feeling comfortable. The reason I felt nervous was that we were going into a new and we were going to share a room with another classroom. But like I said it got better now and doesn't seem like anyone is feeling uncomfortable.

Mohua, Riroriro, and Tieke are the names of birds they are NZ native land animals I think that is the reason why the principle named the new buildings those names.

    2019-2040

Hi, guys today 4 classes came together in the auditorium to watch a movie about climate change, so it was this man he wanted his 4-year-old child to help the earth and he wants her to know what happens when in the future if you do that. The two things I learned were that there are a lot of ways to stop climate change and I learnt that our ocean is sucking up the carbon dioxide that means that the clams won't be able to grow or form. In 2040 I would like to see a lot more trees and electric cars so we don't cause pollution. Plus maybe don't eat that much meat because the animals help us the earth like there poop helps make soil. What if we don't stop climate change the future will be scary like there will be floods because the ices are melting. What worried me was what will happen to the earth if we don't stop causing harm to it.

    Drama

This week on Tuesday we were finishing our puppet show work so that means we were recording our puppets doing stuff. When we were finished we were supposed to do a blog post I didn't do it because I was talking too much with my friend. But after an hour I and my friend got most of our work done so that was good plus we made up for not doing work for the first hour.

On Friday we were playing some games in the auditorium I don't know what the names are but let tell you how we played. So the first activity was we had to go in a circle then we would have to walk 16 steps to the right. Then again to the left, you keep doing the same thing over and over again except split the number so 16,8,4,2, and 1. The other games were tequila, pukana, copy circle, and this game when we had to be a machine.

To eat healthy you can eat these three things vegetables because they keep you healthy and fit and fruits keep you in shape, and if you drink protein shakes you can get big, strong and fit. You can it eggs too because they are good and give you protein. If you are a chicken fan and you still want to lose weight you can eat chicken breast. Here are a healthy dinner chicken breast and boiled potatoes.
